Daniel joins Piva Capital from the M&A strategy group at Deloitte Consulting, where he advised large corporate clients on how to respond to the energy transition through M&A and strategic partnerships. Daniel has previously worked on the private equity investment team at Kohlberg & Co. and in the off-grid solar industry at d.light in Kenya and Nuru in the DRC.
His interest in energy and climate first began while growing up in Western Pennsylvania amidst the early 2000s fracking boom. Daniel holds an MBA from University of Michigan, where he co-led deal sourcing for the Wolverine Venture Fund, and a BA in Public Policy from Duke University, where he founded the undergraduate energy club. His hobbies include golf course architecture, live music, and Pittsburgh sports.
