Julie Barger

Julie joined Piva Capital as an Investor after working with the firm as a Summer Associate and throughout her MBA. Prior to business school, she spent five years at Breakthrough Energy, where she worked with early-stage climate technology companies across energy, manufacturing, and agriculture on commercialization, go-to-market strategy, and fundraising. She also supported fundraising and strategic partnerships for Breakthrough Energy Catalyst and contributed to portfolio strategy across Breakthrough’s climate technology programs.

Julie received her MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where she was active in venture investing through the Penn Wharton Innovation Fund, and studied Public Policy at the University of Michigan. Outside of work, she enjoys biking, running, rock climbing, swimming, and skiing.
